About Me

Hi, my name is Lara.  I currently live in London and am actively seeking freelance or permanent writing opportunities: be they for short or long form blogs, articles, newsletters, press releases and/or social media content.

I attained a 2.1 in BA English and Classical Literature from the University of Bristol and have since completed an online proofreading course with Content ETC. My writing experience has spanned five years and ranged from working in PR (creating newsletters, press releases, and articles for media distribution), moonlighting as a Social Media Specialist and Lead Content Writer where I respectively wrote articles, guides and created and scheduled various social media calendars, to working as a Content Writer where my duties include a variety of content creation for scripts; brochures; training documents; guides; blogs; mailing campaigns; taglines and social media.  

In these roles, I have worked with a range of clients from premium dog food to luxury retailers, perfume, skincare, and even sustainable cremation. I am adept at altering tone of voice and style to suit a targeted demographic and well-versed at working alongside the relevant Marketing, PR, and Design Teams to prepare best strategy for a given brief. 

Having been lucky enough to grow up on an English Safari Park, my real passion lies in all areas concerning wildlife, nature, conservation, and travel, so whilst I welcome any and every writing opportunity, commissions of this sort would be especially welcome.
